Currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Art, Design, and Museum Studies at University College London (UCL), her research centres on contemporary art exhibition design as a curatorial methodology, exploring its radical and critical dimensions within the context of exhibition studies. She investigates the relationship between exhibition designers, curators, artists, and visitors. Additionally, she serves as part of the Editorial Collective for the Journal of Visual Culture (https://journals.sagepub.com/home/vcu), published by Sage Journals.

ES Projects

Initiated by Erika Song in 2023, ES Projects is a series of curatorial endeavours that explore emerging issues in exhibition studies as well as societal challenges. Some of the exhibitions are curatorial praxis of Song’s PhD research, while others address pressing issues we face collectively.

 

ES Projects aims to promote emerging artists in an increasingly challenging environment for artistic expression. In the near future, ES Projects will curate and produce a series of exhibitions in collaboration with interdisciplinary partners.
